The Cameron Rotar y Club invites local golfers to tee it up for its 15th annual Rotary Golf Scramble at the Cameron Country Club.

This year's event will be held on Friday, June 12 and Saturday June 13.

Festivities begin with a social at 6:30 p.m. on Fr iday w ith free food and drinks for everyone and fabulous auction items donated by area businesses.

In addition a raff le drawing will be held for a $1,000 VISA Check Card. The golfing gets started at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The tournament is a 4-person scramble format, with cash prizes being awarded for the first, second and third place team, plus awards for closest to the pin and longest drive.

Teams will be arranged by handicap by the tournament committee. Registration is $50 per golfer, plus an optional cart fee.

Bake sale, car wash set by Lady Tigers

A bake sale and car wash has been scheduled to raise funds to send members of the RHS Lady Tiger basketball team to summer camp.

On Friday, June 12, a bake sale will be held at Wal-Mart Supercenter and Brookshire Bros. super market from 8 a.m. until noon.

On Saturday, June 13 a car wash fund-raiser will be held at Gattis from 8 a.m. until noon.

"We will also be accepting donations," said Ivory Douglas, spokesperson.

Camps the Lady Tigers hope to attend are the TABC individual camp in Georgetown June 16- 18 and Texas A&M team camp 26-30.

St. Joseph hosting hoop 3-on-3 tournament

St. Joseph's youth group will be hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament on June 13th at Charlie Martin Park in Milano.

The cost is $10 per team member with up to four on a team. Registration starts at 11:00 a.m. in Charlie Martin Park.
