Reporter/ Bill Martin NOR MA NGEE—For the second consecutive weekend, the Rockdale 7-on-7 team went 2-1 in tournament play and have yet to qualify for the state tournament next month in College Station.

Rockdale 27, New Waverly 20 (OT)—Quarterback Joe Sanders connected with Greg Chelf for two touchdowns, Brandon Gibbs with one and one twopoint conversion and extra point. Tyler Wright had a touchdown snag, while Terrel Dixon had an interception in overtime to seal the victory.

Rockda le 34, Houston Second Baptist 26—Sanders hit Gibbs with a couple of touchdowns, Chelf with one and Derrick Mynar one two-point conversion. In Wright's turn at quarterback, he found Justin Elliott with a score and Sanders with one touchdown and one conversion.

Cameron 48, Rockdale 20— Sanders found Elliott, Mynar and Wright for touchdowns and Chelf two one-point conversions. Casey Burrough had an interception.

Cameron lost to New Waverly but advances because it won head to head against Rockdale.

The 7-on-7 state tournament is July 9-10 at Penberthy Fields at Texas A&M.
