CAMERON—Funeral services for Jim W. "Jack" Pratt, 92, of Cameron were held Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Marek-Burns- Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Jim Lafferty officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Pratt died Saturday, June 27, at his home.

He was born Dec. 27, 1916, in the Marlow community of Milam County to Ola Lewis and Ada Margaret (Stutts) Pratt.

He married Ruby Lee Condray and she preceded him in death in 1995.

Mr. Pratt worked as a crop farmer and then as a custodian for the Cameron Country Club. After retiring as custodian, he statred his own business tearing down houses.

Two brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.

Survivors include five sons, Wesley Pratt and wife Judy of Elkhart, James Pratt and wife Sonya of Beaver, Oklahoma, J.D. Pratt and wife Glenda, Lewis Pratt and wife Debbie, Kenneth Pratt, all of Cameron; five daughters, Gladys Mathis and husband Alfred, Dorothy Sadler, Betty Canaday and husband Dorman, all of Cameron, Mary Rodgers and husband Larry of East Peoria, Illinois, Linda Ahrendt and husband Bill of Washington, Illinois; and a sister, Altha Padgett of Winslow, Indiana; also, 34 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and seven great-great- grandchildren.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
