OVER 100 GET CLOTHING


More than 100 persons picked up free clothing at the Pecan Street Masonic Lodge Saturday morning in the season annual East Side Clothing giveaway sponsored by the lodge, Billy Ray and Laura Locklin and Lisa's Hope Chest of Austin. Other donations were made by Coleman Douglas, Evelyn Cockrell, Hope Ratliff and Barbara Cockrell of Temple; and Mr. and Mrs. James King, Anita Walker, Nanette and Ricky Wells of Rockdale. Volunteers were Connie Hippel, Cassius Moore, Pam King and Justin Gadison, all of Rockdale; and Lucretia Henderson of Austin. Douglas expressed appreciation to The Reporter, KRXT and local businesses. The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
