Big Blue Band to start summer rehearsals
Rockdale High School's summer band activities will begin Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31 with marching fundamentals for incoming freshmen and new members, being held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. both mornings, director Joe Ray announced. Full Story
ONE MONTH TO GO
First day of classes in the Rockdale ISD is Monday, Aug 24, and lots of cosmetic changes are popping up around the mostly new Rockdale High School (above) and the brand new intermediate school. The area west of RHS is greening up after substantial waterings while work continues both inside and outside the school. The RISD has its own well as an outside watering source. Full Story

Barnett earns masters from Wayland Baptist SAN ANTONIO- Lynn Barnett, a 1985 graduate from Milano High School, recently received his Masters Degree n E duc at ion from Wayland Baptist University. Barnett is currently in the US Air Force where he has served his country for over 22 years. Full Story
Awards featured during RHS Class of '04 reunion
The RHS Class of 2004 held its fifth-year class reunion Saturday, July 18 at The Ranch in Rockdale. Forty classmates, guests, dates, spouses and former classmates enjoyed a social hour, a dinner prepared by The Ranch, dancing to the music of "People's Choice," and visiting, according to Kyle Schielack, class president.
