Two transported after area accidents
Two persons were treated at area hospitals after one-vehicle accidents on the same stretch of US 79 near Thorndale last week. Trooper Donald Delukie said a 9:50 p.m. July 14 accident 1.9 miles east of Thorndale involved a vehicle driven by Kaycee McManus, 34, of Temple. Full Story
ONE HURT
A 34-year-old Killeen resident was flown to Scott & White Hospital in Temple Tuesday morning after his 2007 Toyota collided with an 18-wheeler, then hit a guard rail on Texas 36 about a mile north of Milano. J-Boy Nguyen was extricated from his car by the Milano Volunteer Fire Department. The truck driver was listed by State Trooper Broderick Sims as 62-year-old Charles Collins of Hamilton, Illinois. RUSH HOUR WRECK
Ofc. Stephen Goodrich stops traffic as one of two vehicles involved in a 4:45 p.m. Friday collision is pushed out of one of Rockdale's busiest intersections. Police said vehicles operated by Wesley Shafer of Gause and Gladys Mantey of Rockdale were in collision at the Cameron-Main (US 79-FM 908) intersection. Damages to both vehicles were termed "moderate." No serious injuries were reported, according to police. Full Story
