Benefit for seizure victim set in Bartlett

BARTLETT—A street dance and fund-raiser will be held at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 in Bartlett for the family of Patrick White, who has been in a coma since May.

White, age 22, is the father of a six-month old son. He suffered from an unknown illness that caused seizures and required an induced coma.

Music w ill be by the Mark Richey Band. Other festivities include raffles, a silent auction and food booths. Admission is free, but donations at the gate are appreciated. All proceeds and donations will be used to defray medical expenses.

Moody Cotton Fest scheduled for Sept. 26

MOODY—The annual Cotton Harvest Festival will be held from 10 a.m to 10 p.m. Sept. 26 in downtown Moody.

Admission and parking are free and events include a parade, music entertainment, kids' inflatable land, contests, auctions, exhibits, arts and crafts and food vendors.
