By KAY LAGRONE Reporter correspondent

As summer draws to a close, reunions are gather ing before school bells ring. On Saturday, Aug. 1, the Myers Reunion was held at the Milano Civic Center with over 100 in attendance. Eddie Mae Myers says everyone had a great time visiting, talking about family and events that had taken place during the past year.

On Sunday, Aug. 2, the Holdiness Reunion was held at the Civic Center. Martha Holdiness Newman said they had a good group in attendance. I married into a family that has a big reunion every Fathers Day weekend. It's work, but lots of fun.

As I grew up in big town of Gause, I remember the Mor- ga n family a nd Cass family reunions. I would love to know if some of my cousins are still alive and where they live. As you get older, family becomes that much more important. I would live to show off my family to my distant relatives.

Please keep the Carol Wise family in your prayers. At the time of this writing, Carol is very ill.

Claude and I enjoyed an afternoon out on Sunday, as we went to Cameron to enjoy the Milam Community Theatre's presentation of "The Sound of Music" at the Cameron ISD Performing Arts Center. Milano was well represented with members of t he cast including Taylor Whitmire, Car ter Whitmire, Ashton Whitmire, Stonie Guthrie, Tennyson Guthrie and Iris Guthrie.
