Column bad example
This is in response to Ken Esten Cooke's column on Aug. 6, "What beer would you have at the White House?"
It's a shame that we serve beer and brag about it when beer, alcohol and drugs are causing more problems in our homes, schools and in our government.
It sets a bad example for our children when people in leadership talk about how much they like beer and also tell jokes about a man having sex with a horse.
It's bad enough that we cannot find a decent program on TV anymore that doesn't involve drinking and bad jokes. We don't need to read about it in our hometown newspaper.
When my son was alive, he wrote an article for the paper and you would not print it because it was deemed too controversial.
