His family moved back to Texas and Larry has been playing and singing since 1983. He has opened for George Jones, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Reba McIntyre and more.
In the 1990s he put together his own band and has also played with the Christian Country band Cross-Countr y. He presently works with singer/songwriter Dan Roberts of Fort Worth. Dan Roberts and Johnny Gimble have stirred up the love of "Texas Western Swing" in Larry's soul. A few years ago, Dennis Ivey called Larry up to join his East Texas Opry as drummer in his house band and he still plays there today.
Other guests will be Debbie Davis of Rockdale and keyboardist Buddy Boehm from Hallettsville.
