FIRE CALLS

Fire calls dispatched from the Rockdale Police Station during the past seven days included the following:

• 12:50 p.m. Aug. 12, small grass fire, four miles east of Rockdale on US 79, Rockdale VFD.

• 4:55 p.m. Aug. 12, power line leading over roadway, location not listed, Rockdale VFD.

• 7:23 p.m. Aug. 12, Milano Volunteer Fire Department dispatched to Milano Cefco, Texas 36 at US 190/79 and cleared away two round hay bales.

• 11:20 a.m. Thursday, Rockdale VFD dispatched to CR 318 less than a mile from its intersection with FM 908 for an overturned pneumatic roller. (See photo page 1A).

• 3:33 p.m. Thursday, Rockdale VFD sent to Post Oak Street address for a lift assist.

• 4:27 p.m. Sunday, propane tank leaking, 2220 CR 355.

• 5:17 p.m. Monday, Gause VFD dispatched to FM 485 location in Branchville after report of a vehicle smoldering.

• Mario Moreno, 27, Houston, burglar y of building, out-ofcounty warrant/sexual assault of a child, in custody on $150,000 bond.

• Robert Glenn Elliston, 37, Cameron, serving county commitment.

• Zelma Elaine Mitchell, 55, Rockdale, serving county commitment.

• Edward Labranch Harris, 45, Lufkin, unlawfully carrying weapon, possession of marijuana (less than two ounces), released on $3,500 bond.

• Jimmie Allen, 59, Lott, verbal threats, fined $500 and released.

• Mark Dav id K ley pas, 31, Rosebud, aggravated assault with deadly weapon, released on $25,000 bond.

• Detorious Deantrae Anderson, 25, Cameron, manufacturing/ delivering controlled substance (4- 200 grams), execution of capias or arrest warrant, bond surrender/possession of controlled substance (less than one gram), bond surrender/abandoning/ endangerment of child criminal negligence, in custody on $21,125 bond.

• Roman Martinez Rodriguez, 47, Cameron, two out-of-county warrants/assault causing bodily injury, released.

• Charles Russell Davis II, 22, Houston, possession of marijuana (less than two ounces), released on $2,000 bond.

• Gerald Graves, 20, Rockdale, bench warrants, in custody.

• Antonio Vega, 33, Houston, burglary of building, in custody on $75,000 bond.

• Thomas Wesley Owens, 19, Rockdale, unauthorized use of vehicle, in custody on $5,000 bond.
