Galbreath claims pole bending championship

Galbreath Galbreath OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA— McKenna Galbreath claimed the pole bending reserve world championship title at the American Quarterhorse Youth Association World Championship.

Galbreath, a 2009 RHS graduate, was also a top 10 finisher in stake race and breakaway roping. Thorndale booster club meet and greet Aug. 20

THORNDALE—The Thorndale athletic booster club will be hosting a meet and greet social on Thursday, Aug. 20 in conjunction with the Thorndale ISD open house.

The meet and greet will be held at the new field house from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. At 7:30 there will be an introduction of the new coaches. Hot dogs, chili dogs and ice cream will be available.

You are invited to come out meet the new coaches, see the new field house and mingle with your 2009/2010 Bulldog and Lady Dog athletes.

Hammack Memorial golf tourney Sept. 12

The Billy Hammack Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Rockdale Country Club.

Entry fee is $75 for the four-ball tournament and that includes a meal ticket, drink ticket and an event t-shirt.

Tee-off is set for 9 a.m. and there will be a putting contest held prior to tee-off.
