It's back to school time for Forest Grove families

Another school year has begun and we wish for all our students and school personnel a blessed year.

The community recently was saddened by the news of the death of Thelma Caffey. Several attended the visitation and graveside services in Rockdale. We send our sincere sympathy to her family at this time of sadness.

We are happy to report that Edna Keen has returned home and is doing well following surgery and a stay in a Bryan hospital. We wish for her continued recovery.

Woody and Mary Beth Burgess hosted a family dinner honoring grandson Huston Burgess. Huston has joined the many college bound students heading for "Aggieland".

Enjoy ing the evening w ith Huston at the Burgess home were Stan and Theresa Burgess, Amber Null, Megan and Hunter Brantley.

Eric, Traci, Destiny and Sierra Fiedler traveled to Kerrville for a visit with Eric's aunt, Wanda Janak.

Several of the Spence family, the Caldwell family and Robin Exner traveled to Cameron on Saturday evening to attend a birthday dinner honoring Billy Light on his 50th.

They joined about fifty other family members and friends at the Light home to help celebrate this occasion.

Doris Havard enjoyed having visitors for the weekend. Visiting were Melissa Frisbie, Pat Alford, Katie and Taylor all of Houston.

Bill and Florene McDaniel enjoyed a "summertime" visit from grandson Wyatt Rhodes of San Perlita.

Dane Rhodes came on Saturday for an overnight visit and to take Wyatt home to start the school year.

Rod and Lu Spence traveled to College Station to help granddaughter Heather Rahm move into her home to get ready to start the year at Blinn and Texas A&M.

Coming for an overnight visit with Rod and Lu was grandson Zach Spence of College Station.
