RUSK—Funeral services for Carol Ann McGuire, 44, of Conroe will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, in Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Rusk with Rev. Don Copeland officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.

The family was scheduled to receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Wallace Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.

Mrs. McGuire died Aug. 20, in Riverside.

She was born March 10, 1965, in Houston.

Mrs. McGuire was a resident of Conroe for 15 years and was formerly of Rusk.

She was a 1983 Rusk High School graduate.

Mrs. McGuire was preceded in death by Carrie Powers Boykin, Marvin Powers Sr., Mary and Ernest King, and a grandson, Jorden McGuire-Vela.

Survivors are her husband of 17 years, Dwain McGuire of Conroe; a son, Shawn Powers and wife Courtny of Rusk; a daughter, Jessie McGuire of Conroe; her parents, Marvin and Judy Powers of Rusk; a sister, Amanda Carter and husband Jonathan of Bastrop; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lynn and Joyce McGuire of Rockdale; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Sherri Isaacs of Fairfield, David McGuire of Rockdale, Rollie and Caron Winfree of Teague, Larry McGuire of Orange, Gary and Vicki McGuire of Georgetown; a special friend Helen Wade of Orange; and grandchildren Blaine, Jaylynn and Christopher Powers, Shana Berryhill, all of Rusk; also, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Pallbearers will include Rollie Winfree, Dave Chambers, Leonard Isaacs, Harold Weaver, Boyd Smith and Steve Ferrari.
