Tigers slip by Lampasas

Thorndale, Milano get Friday night wins

The Rockdale Tigers moved to 2-0 on the season Friday night, just edging the Lampasas Badgers 7-6 at Tiger Field.  The teams were scoreless until the third quarter when the Badgers scored, but missed the extra point attempt.  The Tigers finally got on the board late in the fourth and went ahead with Waylon Boyd's extra point kick.

Rockdale will travel to Marlin on Sept. 11.

Milano (2-0) got a big road win against DeLeon beating the Bearcats 13-7.  There was a small lightning delay before kickoff and wet field conditions plagued both teams throughout the night.

Thorndale got its first win of the season in its home opener against the Jarrell Cougars.  The Bulldogs were victorious by a score of 28-9.
