Everage

Services for Charles Everage Sr., 58, of Rockdale were held Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. S.L. Ross officiating. Burial was in New Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Everage died Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

A lifelong Rockdale resident, he was born Jan. 7, 1951, in Milam County to Albert Everage Jr. and Bertha Posey Everage.

He married Sarah Hardway Sr. on June 18, 1984, in Rockdale.

Mr. Everage had been a truck driver for the City of Rockdale for 13 years.

He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church of Rockdale.

Mr. Everage was preceded in death by his parents a brother, Willie Eugene Everage; and a sister, Shirley Everage.

Survivors are his former wife, Sarah Hardway Sr.; a son, Ezzard Charles Everage Jr. of Rockdale; four daughters, Victoria Hardway of Austin, Alexis Everage, Sarah Everage Jr. and Jessica Everage, all of Rockdale; a brother, Julieus Everage of Rockdale; four sisters, Rachel Anderson, Tennie Tindle, Evelyn Burgess and Althea Everage, all of Rockdale; and a granddaughter, Destiny Clarke.

Pallbearers were Elmo Miller, Coy Robertson Jr., Julieus Everage, Billy Ray Harris, Bobby Joe Tindle and Billy Tindle.
