Jarrell took command early and dominated the Rockdale Lady Tigers 25-11, 25-17, 25-15 Tuesday night in Tiger Gymnasium.

The Lady Tigers fall to 3-5 on the season.

Senior Crystal Callas again led Rockdale with five kills, four digs, three assists and two aces.

She was complemented by Bailey Pannell's eight digs, Hailey Offield's five digs and Katie Strelsky's four assists.

The junior varsity lost 22-25, 20-25, 26-24 despite Lisa Vest's 12 service points, while the freshmen won 25-29, 25-22 behind Ashley Loden's 16 served points.

The Lady Tigers have some key matches against larger schools coming up before they serve up the district schedule.

Rockdale hosts Class 5A Killeen Ellison (3-15) on Friday, then travels to Austin LBJ (3-9) on Tuesday.

The Lady Tigers will then compete in the Madisonville Tournament on Sept. 10 and 12.

Rockdale opens district by hosting Bryan Rudder and then travelling to Taylor.

The Tigers then get into a pattern of hosting two straight and then going on the road for two.
