Melton on allcentury ballot

Melton Melton Becky Melton was one of the top volleyball players of her time and now you have a chance to help preserve her place in history.

As a part of its 100th year celebration, the University Interscholastic League (UIL) is selecting an allcentury team in all UIL sports and anyone can vote for the players that are going to be included on the team from a list of nominees.

Melton led Milano to four straight state tournament appearances from 2002-2005, including a runner-up finish in 2005.

Known for her extraordinary leaping ability despite standing just 5-foot-5, Melton was a three-time first-team all-state selection.

She continued to play at Temple College where she was named the conference most valuable player twice.

Melton is on the list of 100 players that are nominees for the team and if you are interested in voting for her, go to www.uil100. org/vote.php.

You can only vote once and the top 20 vote getters will be named to the team.
