BELL TOLLS FOR THE TIGERS The 2009 Tigers left no doubt which is the most dominant football team in Milam County after a 41-21 victory over the Cameron Yoemen in the annual "Battle of the Bell." RHS' rolled up 387 yards in offense and the Tiger defense shut down the usually potent Yoeman rushing game. MORE 'Ks' FOR THE KAY THEATRE
The fourth annual Kay Theatre 5K Fun Run/Unrun drew 139 participants Saturday and grossed another $8,000 for an ongoing project to turn the old theatre into a performing arts and cultural center. In its four years the run has raised about $40,000 toward the project. The event featured a 5K run, won by Round Rock resident Melvin Tomek, and a 1K children's race. Full Story
Go 'Downtown' by the river for Saturday event

Milam County hasn't had a new community formed in about 150 years. But come 6 p.m. Saturday, "Downtown, Texas" will be dedicated during the 4th Annual Ride to the River at Apache Pass (9112 North FM 908).
