Mobile food pantry begins Gause service

The "Wheels of Sharing" mobile food pantry, co-sponsored by the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas and the Gause Community Improvement Program, will begin making "second Tuesday of each month" visits to the Gause Community Center on Oct. 13.

Distribution Hours are 12-noon to 1 p.m.

About 50 pounds of food per family will be available at each visit, according to Wanda Lee, spokesperson.

She said food distributed could include salad, soup, rice, tuna, cereal, pasta, beans, potatoes, pasta sauce, canned vegetables and canned fruit.

Help for apply ing for food stamps will also be available, Lee said.

The Gause Community Center is located at 427 Professor Smith Blvd.
