Wise

Ser v ices for Milton Carol Wise, 77, of Rockdale, were to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oc t. 7, 2009, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Springer and Rev. Doug Springer of ficiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery near Milano.

Wise Wise Mr. Wise died Sunday, Oct. 4, at his home in Rockdale.

He was born Nov. 30, 1931, in Cameron to Ira Vel and Oleta (Modesette) Wise.

He married Ann Morris on May 31, 1980, in Rockdale.

Mr. Wise had been a Rockdale resident for the past 29 years and was formerly of Gause.

He worked for Alcoa's Rockdale Operations in the maintenance department, retiring on Aug. 1, 1993, after 40 years. He was also a farmer and rancher.

Mr. Wise was a graduate of Milano High School and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of Rockdale Full Gospel Church and Rockdale VFW Post No. 6525.

Mr. Wise was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Vel and Oleta Wise.

Survivors are his wife, Ann Wise of Rockdale; a son, Larry T. Wise of Cameron; two stepsons, Russell Caffey and wife Arleen of Rockdale, Jeff Caffey and wife Kathy of New Braunfels; three daughters, Marantha Stratta and husband Mike of Bryan, Martha Gressett of Cameron, Patti Wilson of Austin; two stepdaughters, Penny Muston and husband Dwayne and Brenda Towns and husband Richard, all of Rockdale; two brothers, Kline Wise and wife Lee of Troy, Glenn E. Wise and wife Dot of Universal City; a sister, Joyce Ball and husband Eldon of Milano; and 14 grandchildren, Lane, Anthony, Brandon, Chelsey, Devin, Ethan, Zachary, Tisha, Eric, Steven, Christian, Jason, Jessa and J.R.; also, six greatgrandchildren.

Pallbearers were to be Jed Martin, Colin Wise, Steven Caffey, Anthony Muston, Brandon Muston, J.R. Caffey, Eric Towns and Terry Drummond.
