MILANO—The annual Diver- Hairston family reunion was held Sunday, Oct. 4 at the Milano Civic Center with 52 family members and guests attending.

A covered-dish luncheon followed the blessing by Chuck Hairston.

Oldest in attendance was Chester Hays Sr. who will be 90 next Feb. 14. Youngest was Sydney Hays, 6-month-old daughter of Holly Hairston Hays and granddaughter of Charles and Betty Hairston.

A drawing was held for four quilt tops made by the late Connie Hairston Cannon. Winners were Fred Hairston, James Wright, Guendolyn Hays and Donna Diver.

This was the 64th reunion for the Divers who have been meeting on the first Sunday in October since 1946. The Hairstons met on the last Sunday in July since the late 1940s.
