RHS honor roll breakfast set Oct. 23

The Rockdale Parent-Teacher Organization and the RHS National Honor Society will host an Honor Roll Breakfast, according to NHS sponsor Deborah Dean.

The breakfast is set for 7:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23 in the high school cafeteria for high school students on the 80 and above honor roll. The meal will incldue breakfast breads, donuts, sausages, juice and coffee. Parents of students on the honor roll are encouraged to attend, Dean said.

'Students of Week' named at RJH

Rockdale Junior High assistant principal Allen Sanders announced the "Students of the Week" at the school.

Those students are: DJ Cook (8th grade), John Rivers (7th grade) and Janae Rubio (6th grade).

Intermediate School sets Book Fair

Rockdale Intermediate School is hosting a book fair 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19 through Wednesday, Oct. 21 in the school library, according to librarian Sarah Vreeland.

A "Family Night" book fair will be held 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. This will be in conjuction with the national "Lights on After School Celebration", Vreeland said. There will also be activities for the students in the cafeteria and light refreshments will be served.
