PROUD MOMENT—On Oct. 1, Christopher Northcott of Thorndale was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Gy Sgt. Northcott has been a member of the Marine Corps for 12 years. The promotion brings a new position, that of Infantry Unit Leader's Course Instructor, with responsibilities for training Infantry Platoon Sergeants. His wife Paula and mother Diane T. Northcutt participated in the ceremony by pinning on his new chevrons. Gy Sgt Northcott is the and son of Diane Northcutt of Thrall and Gary Northcott of Thorndale.
