When you spot a nice warm lake on a cold morning, you just have to swoop in for a little dip. That's what scores of pelicans, and an equal amount of ducks and other water birds did Saturday morning at Alcoa Lake. Temperatures had dipped into the 40's during the night and the warm lake was too inviting to pass up. Alcoa Lake is a favorite resting spot for birds. Rockdale Operations has been the site for bird watching tours in years past. Reporter/Mike Brown
