Fisher

Services for Imogene Fisher, 83, of the Salty community will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Eric Garcia of First Baptist Church in Thorndale officiating.

Mrs. Fisher died Monday, Nov. 2, at Cornerstone Hospital in Austin.

She was born July 27, 1926, in Manachaca to Arthur M. and Bessie L. Richardson Cook.

She married William "Billy" Franklin Fisher on Dec. 21, 1943, in Alief.

Mrs. Fisher was a homemaker and resident of the Salty community for 63 years.

She was a member of Salty Community Church and Town & Country Club in Thorndale.

Mrs. Fishers hobbies included arts and crafts and sewing.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lynn Fisher; her husband, Billy Fisher, on Aug. 30, 1968; and her parents.

Survivors are three sons, Jim Fisher, Keith Fisher and wife Debra, all of the Salty community, Larry Fisher and wife Jennifer of Thorndale; a daughter-in-law, Donna Fisher of Thorndale; three brothers, William Cook of Richmond, Arthur Lee Cook of Conroe, Clifford Cook of Tomball; and a sister, Betty Taliaferro of Jersey Village; also, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Brian Fisher, Terry Fisher, Jason Fisher, John Kovar, Adam Fisher, Colby Fisher, Weston Fisher and Devin Fisher.

Honorary pallbearers were the remainder of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
