Thorndale ISD earns more honors from TEA

THOR NDALE—The Thorndale ISD has received additional honors from the Texas Education Association, according to Supt. Casey Callahan.

Callahan said Thorndale ISD had earned two "evaluated acknowledgements" (writing and Texas Success Initiative ELA) in Gold Performance Acknowledgement ratings.

Thorndale High was commended for attendance rate, social studies and TSI ELA, the middle school for ELA reading and writing and the elementary for writing and science.

At Monday's TISD board meeting, trustees discussed a code of ethics and operating procedure.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
