DPS troopers probe three accidents in area

Milam County state troopers investigated three traffic accidents in the Rockdale area over the past week.

A vehicle collided with a horse at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday on FM 908, .2-mile south east of Rockdale.

Driver was listed as Benito Morales of Rockdale and a passenger, Rene Mender was transported to a Round Rock hospital. Damages were termed moderate, according to the DPS.

No injuries, and moderate damages, were reported in two one-vehicle accidents investigated Sunday by Trooper Broderick Sims.

Milton Bell, 61, of Milano, was listed as the driver in a 10:45 a.m. accident on US 79, 2.6 miles west of Rockdale.

William Graham, 20, of Austin was the driver in a 3:40 p.m. accident at Texas 36 and US 79 in Milano, Sims said.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
