Senior Ivory Douglas scored two points and dished off two assists in the Lady Tigers' season opening loss Tuesday. AUSTIN—Still feeling their way on the offensive side, the Rockdale Lady Tigers fell to Class 4A Austin Travis 44-18 Tuesday night in the season opener at Rebel Gymnasium.

"We competed hard, but could not put the ball in the basket," said Rockdale's Liz McQuitter, who begins her third year as head coach. "I am looking for chemistry and a rotation of nine to 10 players.

"The score does not ref lect some good defensive stops, a lot of hustle, and intensity throughout. We just did not execute well offensively and missed a lot of opportunities.

"I am not totally disappointed, because I saw a lot of possibilities in the rotations used against Travis. It is back to work and getting ready for the next game on the road."

The 5-foot-11 Frei Twins, Meagan and Brittany, led the Lady Tigers after sitting out a year.

Meagan tallied four points, while Brittany had three points and five rebounds.

Kayla LaRocca, Lyndee Pannell, Annie Wilde and Ivory Douglas

Trailing 6-4 after the first quarter, the Lady Tigers were outscored 15-1 in the second period and trailed 21-5 at intermission.
