Annual Community Thank sgiv ing meal, ser v ice Sunday at Baptist Church

The annual Community Thanksgiving dinner is at 11 a.m. Sunday, No v. 22 at the Gause Baptist Church Family Life Center. The meal is free to all attending. Turkey and dressing with all the trimmings will be served. Ladies of the community are asked to bring a dessert . All other food has been graciously donated, then prepared by community members. I enjoy the food but also it is a joy to get to visit with some of you I have not seen in a while even though we live in the same. That evening, all are invited to the Gause Baptist Church for the annual Community Thanksgiving worship service at 6 p.m.

It will be a music program this year entitled Offering Thanks members of our community. A ll from surrounding towns areinvited to attend as well. Rememb er this is the week ofthe 4-H Community Thanksgivig Food Drive. If you wouldlike to be a part of this yearly c ommunity service please let me know. We can use food orwe can use money to buy meatto go in the sacks that will be distributed. As you well know,there are always some in thecommunity that can use a littlehelp every once in a wh i le w ith a few groceries. You can take your donation to Supt. Perry B ell atGause School be fore Friday, Nov.20 or come by or call my home(979 -279-247 2). Club members are hoping to ge t the food re ady for distribution Friday evening.

Lisa Lambert Koenig wasin San Antonio over the weekend where she participated in the San Antonio Rock and RollMarat hon- a 26.2 mile race. Lisa finish ed in the top five percent of the 5,000 participants in four hours, seven minutes and 19 seconds. Good going, Lisa.

Gause School will be dismissedon Tuesday, Nov. 24 at noon for the Thanksgiving holidays .
