Kieschnick leads pack of Lady Dog award winners

Senior shares offensive player of the year award

Senior Kristen Kieshnick was rewarded for her outstanding offensive play this season. Senior Kristen Kieshnick was rewarded for her outstanding offensive play this season. The Thorndale Lady Dogs volleyball team placed seven on the 25-A All-District team announced earlier this week.

Lady Dog senior Kristen Kieschnick was named the league's co-offensive player of the year along with Thrall senior Brandy Stolte.

Thorndale's Jordan Heine, also a senior, was named defensive player of the year.

Juniors Shelby Stolte and Margie Llana were the Lady Dogs' only first team selections. Adriana Reyes, a junior, along with freshmen Shelbie Stolte and Marlene Hall were honorable mentions for the Lady Dogs.

District champion Granger had players named as co-MVPs for the league in seniors Shelby Hohman and Kayla Cervanka. The Lady Lions advanced all the way to the Class A Region IV tournament before falling to Utopia in the semifinals.

Thrall and Thorndale tied for the district's second place. The Lady Dogs finished with an 14- 21 record and lost in the bi-district round of the postseason to Fayetteville. Thrall also lost in
