DEDICATION DAY
It was a beautiful day for a dedication ceremony last Wednesday at Rockdale High School, which marked the "official" ribbon cutting ceremony for the high school and intermediate campuses. Roughly two-and-a-half months after beginning classes, school officials recognized architects, contractors, trustees and steering committee members. The new facilities and campus will be part of the legacy of former Rockdale ISD superintendent Walter Pond (right), who served the district for 20 years, retiring in 2008. Jobless rate stays at 10.2%
But state adds 41,700 jobs in October, regaining some lost ground
For the third month in a row, Milam County's unemployment rate measured 10.2 percent, according to October figures released by the Texas Workforce Commission. Certification program recognizes local title insurance professional
AUSTIN - The Texas Land Title Association (TLTA) announced that Samantha Marrs of Rockdale with Texas Country Title has completed requirements and passed the examination to earn a Certified Title Insurance Associate designation. For Tigers, high expectations make 2009 a disappointment
It started way back in July, when pigskin bible Texas Football declared that the Rockdale Tigers were worthy of winning District 24-3A and also of a No. 15 in its pre-season poll.
