Lexington trips up Lady Tigers

Cagers get off to quick offensive start

LEXINGTON—The Rockdale Lady Tigers couldn't get a strong start to hold up in a 28-23 loss to Lexington.

The Lady Tigers slip to 0-4 on the season.

Rockdale leaped out 10-2 after the first period and held a 10-2 advantage at intermission.

However, a cold shooting third quarter doomed the Lady Tigers and allowed the Lady Eagles to play catch up and snag the lead 20-16.

Lexington outscored Rockdale 17-10 in the second half.

Senior post Brittany Frei paced the Lady Tigers with six points, while also grabbing four rebounds and two steals.

Lyndee Pannell, Meagan Frei and Ivory Douglas all followed with four points apiece.

Angel Parks led Lexington with 10 points.
