Can you think of a better place to invest?
Neighbor Grover sez many a farmer knows a bumblebee is faster than a John Deere tractor. We let a guest column by a wonderful writer occupy our space here last week, so here's a couple of belated comments: • Congratulations to Coach Jeff Miller, his staff and his Tigers on their fine 8-3 season and third straight playoff appearance. McClaren Bridge was damaged by floods
Editor's note: This is the final column in a series on Milam county's McClaren Bridge. The McClaren Bridge, built in 1912, withstood many major floods and river overflows before it was replaced. While Alaska may surpass Texas' claim to fame as the largest state in the nation, I do not believe they can overtake our rich history. Full Story
