Thanks to New Hope for dinner and 'spirit'
On Nov. 21 I heard a knock at the door. I went to see who it was and there stood a nice young man (a teenager) and he handed me a Thanksgiving dinner.
I thanked him and let him know how much I appreciated it. It was most delicious. Turkey and all the trimmings.
I want to thank New Hope Baptist Church for their kindness and want to say what a wonderful spirit they have to do this ever year.
To feed so many people of our community it takes a lot of work and effort on their part.
Also, other churches get involved at Thanksgiving to do the same.
We have a wonderful community to be proud of because of the sweet spirit in which they help so many people.
As Denice Doss says, and she is such an encourager, helping one another is a community project.
Denice, you are a very special person. I wouldn't miss your column for anything.
