Damages 'very minor' as car hits window

Damages were termed "very minor" Thursday afternoon when a car driven by an 84-year-old Cameron woman hit a window at Cellular One in the Waymar Plaza.

Ofc. Mike Hoyt said the driver was Ruth Harris of Cameron.

"She thought the vehicle was in reverse and it wasn't," Hoyt said.

"It hit just the bottom pane of a window and that's all that was damaged," Hoyt said. "There were no injuries and very little damage to the car."

Hoyt said a wreck report won't even be filed because damages were settled and paid for "on the spot."

"In fact the pane was replaced later that afternoon," Hoyt said.

Police received the call about 2:15 p.m.
