Annual Central Texas Cow/Calf Clinic set

The 2010 C ent ra l Texa s Cow/Calf Clinic will be held Friday, Jan. 8 at the Milano Livestock Exchange in Milano. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the program w ill begin at 9 a.m.

This years’ program w ill feature educational topics important to the economics of livestock production. Animal health, protection, and welfare will be among the primary topics discussed. Dr. Tom Hairgrove, DVM will present a program on Identifying Cattle Health Issues and a Bull Trichomoniasis regulation update. Many more speakers and demonstrations are lined up.

Cost for the clinic is $10 and includes a barbecue lunch. Two CEUs (1 L&R, 1 gen) will be of fered to those w ith a Private Pesticide Applicators License. Also, producers with Beef Quality Assurance training will receive two BQA hours for their attendance.
