Reporter/Mike Brown Rockdale Junior-High School hosted most of the district UIL academic meet Dec. 8 with Cameron just edging RJH for the district title in the five-team competition.

Cameron was the overall champ with 646 points to 644 for Rockdale.

Rockdale hosted all but three events which had previously been held in Navasota.

Cheryln Ellis, RJH director of UIL events, said 415 students paticipated in the Rockdale meet.
