NEW BENCHES


NEW BENCHES There are two new metal benches outside the front entrance to the Rockdale Intermediate School thanks to a donation from the Linwood Acres Garden Club. Pictured above are some of the garden club members: (front, l-r) Margo Gilless, Marie Freiling, Mary Phillips, Carolyn Calhoun, (back row) intermediate assistant principal Kurt Streck, principals secretary Dyan Shelander, intermediate principal Pam Kaufmann. The garden club also donated funds for the new I&GN Depot historical direction sign located at Cameron Ave. (US 79) and Main St. Along with the RHS classes of 1954 and 1969, the garden club also helped with funds for a new flag pole at Wolf Park.
