Thorndale’s Kieschnick chosen Class A all-state

Kieschnick Kieschnick Thorndale’ s Kristen Kieschnick was named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association’s Class A allstate volleyball team last week.

The senior helped lead the Lady Dogs (14-20) to a second place finish in district 25A and an appearance in the postseason, losing in bi-district to Fayetteville.

Kieschnick was named the district’s co-offensive player of the year this season along with Thrall senior Brandy Stolte. Granger senior Shelby Hohman was also named to the Class A squad.

Two members of the Caldwell Lady Hornets state semifinalist teams were named to the TGCA’s Class 3A all-state team.

Caldwell was the champions of District 24-3A, which includes Rockdale and Cameron. Sophomore Allison Alford and junior Sondra Flippin were named to the team for the Lady Hornets.
