Tiger Hall of Honor loses two members
Young, Walton were stalwarts in girls athletics
The Rockdale Hall of Honor has lost two of its members in the past two weeks as Barbara Young Kastner and Billie Jean Walton Washington have passed away.
Kastner died Friday, Dec. 18 in Elgin at the age of 73. Despite her health issues, Kastner was present for her induction at the Hall of Honor ceremonies on Oct 23. Full Story
Ranked Jarrell halts Tiger win streak at 11
JARRELL—Rockdale has been a team that gained a reputation as quick starters.
Well, the Tigers get-up-andgo deserted them and they paid the price against a good team, losing to Jarrell 60-49 Friday afternoon.

Coming off a lopsided loss to district foe Madisonville, the Rockdale Lady Tigers were well prepared to be the hunter instead of the hunted.

Lady Dogs lock up R-Lott
20th ranked Cagers post 10th win of the season
THORNDALE—The Thorndale Lady Dogs took it to Class 2A Rosebud-Lott Friday night 54-28 at Bulldog Gym.
The victory gave the No. 20 ranked Lady Dogs their tenth victory of the season and a 10-4 overall record.
Thorndale dominated the court all night, going into halftime with a 28-11 lead and then outscoring the Lady Cougars 26-17 in the second half of play. Full Story

Icy second quarter erases early Eagle lead
ROSEBUD—Milano’s varsity boys lost a hard fought match on the road Friday night 43-39 to No. 16 ranked Rosebud-Lott.
