Area law enforcement agencies continue to search for two masked men who held up JK’s convenience store in Thorndale Christmas Eve and made off with about $800.
Thorndale Police Chief Fred Keefer traveled to Georgetown Tuesday afternoon to interview four suspects arrested after a Saturday armed robbery in that city. Full Story
Recycle that Christmas tree and add mulch
QUICK LOOK
Milam County Naturalists are asking that residents recycle their Christmas trees instead of dragging them to the curb for trash disposal.
The group will collect mulch for next year’s Nature Festival, set for June. Mulch will be used on walking paths through newly established wildflower meadows in Ledbetter Park, site of the festival.

Eagles fight through tragedy, coaching changes
High flying spikers Former Lady Eagle standout and current
coach Wendy King guided the volleyball team to four straight state volleyball appearances from 2002-2005.
