Rockdale man charged with sexual assault

A 38-year-old Rockdale area area man was arrested Saturday and charged with aggravated sexual assault in connection with incidents in Cameron.

A warrant for the arrest of Jefferson Eugene Lawrence, who resides on Silver Spring Road, off FM 908 near the Burleson County line, was issued after an investigation by Cameron police.

Deputy Sheriff Justin Mitchan arrested Lawrence on Saturday. He was also charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

He rema ins in t he Mila m County Jail in lieu of $125,000 bond.
