Recycle that Christmas tree and add mulch

QUICK LOOK

Milam County Naturalists are asking that residents recycle their Christmas trees instead of dragging them to the curb for trash disposal.

The group will collect mulch for next year’s Nature Festival, set for June. Mulch will be used on walking paths through newly established wildflower meadows in Ledbetter Park, site of the festival.

Locals can drop off their trees between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Public Works Building, 402 Mill St., and Milano residents may drop theirs off at the CR 234 Loop off TX 36. Cameron residents are asked to take trees by the Triangle Demonstration Garden.
