Lindley

CAMERON—Funeral services for Shirley Dean Lindley, 72, were held Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Lindley died Monday, Dec. 21, in a Temple hospital.

A homemaker, she was born Sept. 16, 1937, to Irby and Ola (Johnson) Tucker.

Ms. Lindley drove a school bus for the Cameron school district for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Lindley; five brothers, Arzy, Jake, Milton, Billy and Dewey Tucker; and three sisters, Mozelle Holland, Netta Patterson and Annabelle Collins.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Houston and husband George, Misty Garcia and husband Ernest, all of Cameron; three grandsons, Jeff Houston and w ife Heather of Day ton, Ohio, Josh Houston and Noah Garcia, both of Cameron; two granddaughters, Lisa Houston and Haylie Garcia, both of Cameron; and two sisters, Bonnie Valchar of Aransas Pass, Mona Robinson of Cameron; also, four great-grandsons, a great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
