Public input needed on regional water plan
Public input is being sought by the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group on its subregional plans at two public meetings over the next week in the Rockdale area.

Applications for emergency farm loans for losses caused by drought, above-normal temperatures and associated wildfires are being accepted at the Farm Service Agency (FSA) office in Marlin, according to Terri Treviño, FSA spokesperson. Full Story
Opry, fajita fund-raiser set Saturday
The Milano Opry and the Bailey Bank Building Committee will host a fund-raiser meal during this Saturday’s show at the Milano Civic Center. Beef and chicken fajitas will be sold starting at 5 p.m. Fajita wraps are $3 each, fajita plates are $9 and include two wraps, beans, rice and all the trimmings and fajita meat by the pound will be $7 each. Input sought at USDA conservation meeting
CAMERON—The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Milam County Soil and Water Conser vation Districts invite the public and any agencies with an interest in conservation issues to participate in a Local Work Group meeting to be held at the Cameron Chamber of Commerce, located at 102 E First Street. Shooting club selling tickets for hunts
The Milam County 4-H Shooting Sports Club is selling tickets for two different hunts as a fund-raiser. Prizes include a $3,000 exotic water buffalo hunt at Beaver Creek Ranch located between Milano and Gause, an exotic goat hunt at Mason and a $75 Academy gift card. Tickets are $10 each or six for $50. The drawing will be held on May 15 and proceeds will go to help buy new equipment for the club. Full Story
