Police record three felony arrests during week

Rockdale police made three felony arrests during a quiet week.

Lt. J. D. Newlin listed arrests as follows:

• Jacqueline Antoniette Morago, 39, hindering a secured creditor, bond set at $500.

• Daniel Ray Cain, 25, Rockdale, assault causes bodily injury/ family violence, in custody on $20,000 bond.

• Tammy Trogdon 51, Rockdale, hindering a secured creditor, felony property damage warrant from Missouri, bond denied.

Incidents Police are investigating two criminal mischief incidents, both involving broken windows.

A warrant is being obtained by police in connection with a forged check investigation, according to Lt. J. D. Newlin.

An animal cruelty citation was issued in connection with an incident involving feeding of a horse, Newlin said.

Accidents Vehicles operated by Sonya Garcia and Danielle Ramos, both of Rockdale, were in collision at 5:37 p.m. Thursday on the Walmart parking lot, according to police who said there were no injuries and damage estimates were unavailable.

Damage estimates were also unavailable for a 5:21 p.m. Friday non-injury accident in the 600 block of West Cameron (US 79), according to police who listed drivers as Kristen Massar of Thrall and Melissa Lopez of Rockdale.

Warrants Police served eight warrants during the past week, ranging from traffic offenses to “parent contributing to non-attendance of school.”


Police said traffic citations issued during the past week included 16 for speeding, nine for expired MVI stickers, seven for failure to maintain financial responsibility, three each for failure to report change of address and running a stop sign and one each for defective stop lamp, impeding traffic and violation of child safety restraint.

Officers responded to 128 calls .during the past week and 87 calls through the 911 system.
