TOP TEACHER–

TOP TEACHER–Students at Rockdale High School have chosen to honor M.A.P. and physical education teacher Liz McQuitter (center) as Teacher of the Month for January. She has been with the district for four years and is the Lady Tigers head basketball coach. “I try to make a difference everyday,” McQuitter said. “We never know when or how we will reach a student, but no experience compares to that moment when we do.” McQuitter enjoys spending time with her son William, who is a senior at RHS and her nephew Patrick Mitchell, who is a junior. Sponsored by Peer Assistance Leadership (P.A.L.), the Teacher of the Month program honors teachers who have a positive attitude, care about the students, and are knowledgeable, organized and available. Winners receive a decorated door and certificate of appreciation. Pictured with McQuitter are P.A.L. members Will McQuitter (left) and Kari Kraatz-Manas.
