Lehnert

CAMERON—Funeral services for Bernardine Lehnert, 83, of Cameron were held Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church with Rev. Juan Carlos Lopez officiating. Burial followed in St. Monica’s Cemetery.

Rosary was recited on Sunday, Jan. 24, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lehnert died Thursday, Jan. 21, in a Temple hospital.

She was born Dec. 15, 1926, in Rowena to Anton and Alma (Klaus) Michalka Sr.

She married A lbert Frank Lehnert on Nov. 9, 1946, and he preceded her in death in 1995.

Mrs. Lehnert was a homemaker and a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia, and a brother, Walter Michalka.

Survivors include four sons, David Lehnert and wife Carmen, Stephen Lehnert and wife Karen, Bobby Lehnert, Ronnie Lehnert and wife Lisa, all of Cameron; four daughters, Jeanette Lehnert of Cameron, Carolyn Williams and husband George of Richmond, Kathy Karl and husband Rich of Spring, Donna Shepherd and husband Scott of Cypress; two brothers, Anton Michalka Jr. of Cameron, Ralph Michalka and wife Nola Jean of Kalamazoo, Michigan; and a sister, Lucille Jekel and husband Dwayne of Cameron; also, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
