Fugitive from wire theft case arrested by police
A 23-year-old Rockdale man, for whom pol ic e have been searching almost two months, was arrested Sunday by Ofc. Stephen Goodrich.
Lt. J. D. Newlin said Trey Mitchell was wanted in connection with a Dec. 10 incident in which 500 pounds of copper wire was taken from Alliance Recyclers. Full Story
Three held in county jail on parole, probation violations
Three persons remain in the county jail this week after being arrested for violating probations or parole, in three separate cases.
• Andrew Calvin Moore, 36, Killeen, arrested Monday and charged with violating probation on sexual assault conviction, in custody on $40,000 bond. Full Story
RVFD chili sale ahead Sunday
The Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual chili fund raiser on Sunday.
All orders will be “to go” at the fire station, corner of Bell and Wilcox.
The sale begins at 11 a.m. and continues until all chili is sold out.
Tickets for the annual $10,000 Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department fund-raiser will go on sale Feb. 15. Full Story
